Soft Drink
Soft drink is made up of several salvaged VGA monitors tethered together through two VGA splitters to play the same source from a media player. All the equipment that makes this connection and visual happen is set on a pedestal in the center, sharing the process and typically hidden components, highlighting how they are as much of the artwork as the bright and moving parts of the work; they are integral to the piece, without them the piece could not exist.
The footage is a performance by the artist exploring roleplaying and dance, identifying their time spent as a food service worker revisiting the body and emotions of that experience.
in the background are animation light tables that guests were invited to use when they visited the space. These light tables were also constructed by the artist from salvaged materials.
Mountains and Streams
Mountains (wall projection) is made up of several layered of screen-recordings, breaking down the motions of desktop computing to a continuous pattern of browsing minimizing and scrolling. A green-screen suit performance by the artist plays on the desktop background, the body keyed to have close-up CRT footage for skin while riding a “rail-shooter” like footage of west coast highways. As viewers walkthrough the space, they will have to cross in front of the projector, creating a silhouette of themselves that aligns with the size of the body of screen.

Streams (lower image) is the floor video piece on an untethered flat screen tv that can be viewed “in-the-round'“. the artist goes through a character-select sequence before shedding a green-screen suit to reveal the body out of the nothingness, a progression of identity and presentation.
Fred’s Garden
Click here to play the online version of Fred’s Garden —a “live-service” exploration game made without tile-sets or traditional game objectives, other than to explore and “touch-grass”. The map will be continuously built out by the artist as time goes on, a sort of living painting that the player can explore and experience.
In this iteration during the Fountains exhibition, Fred’s Garden was playable on a large CRT TV, offering the original effect that pixels would be sent through when “lit up” on these screens. There is a unique sort of glow and blur that you won’t see on an LCD screen.
Fountains
Fountains uses a AV mixer to superimpose multiple videos into a projection. two sources come from cameras pointing in opposite directions of the “workstation”. As guests walk around the room the artwork changes as their shapes are picked up by the cameras, though their image has been heavily manipulated by broken components of the aged AV mixer and cameras.
Jesus Salon
Jesus Salon is a VHS tape recording of one of a series of poems that speaks in the “matter of fact” dialect prominent with how someone speaks to AI tools: a quick and to the point description of what it is that is desired without sympathy or humanity or grace or appropriate punctuation. This, combined with a queer interpretation or “head-canoning” of the life of Jesus as a masseuse and switching the roles of whom gets their feet washed. From this experience, the power of imagination makes the game without software or data-centers and utilizes discarded materials to achieve the same goal. The text created for the video (with an AV mixer extension) reads:

Mountains 2
Using some of the same footage (as well as a swinging camcorder footage put through an AV mixer) Mountains 2 reduces the amount of context clues found in the footage using pixelated mosaics, a kind of censorship for abstraction so that the viewer only sees how the programs involve have made impressions on us purely through motion.
The footage is recorded to and playing on a VHS tape through a CRT TV.
